5 Simple Steps to Clear, Beautiful Skin

Finding the right skin care product always seems to be the hardest task, especially if you suffer from chronic acne or other damaging skin conditions. With the growing number of skin care treatments on the market, it’s hard to choose which one will last, or even help clear up your skin. However, below we will discuss how to get clear skin. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s get started today!

Step 1. Cleanse Your Skin

Cleaning your skin can help remove nasty oil, dirt, and sweat under your skin to clear out your pores and keep your face feeling fresh throughout the day. All you need is a little soap and water to clean with as well, forget about any fancy products that you may find at your local beauty store.

Once you wash your face off with water, lather it with soap in circular motions to avoid wrinkles from forming on your skin. However, it’s also worth noting that your hands should be clean prior to cleansing your skin to avoid even more dirt and grime from seeping into your pores.

Step 2. Apply Toner

Now that you’ve cleansed your skin of dirt, oil, and other bacteria, it’s time to apply toner to remove any residue left behind by your cleanser, makeup, or other oils that may still be left behind. However, toner can also help allow your skin to minimize the appearance of your pores and influence the absorption of moisturizer. Simply apply the toner to a cotton ball/pad and spread the toner starting at your neck, in upwards strokes.

Step 3. Exfoliate Your Skin

Your skin sheds millions of skin cells a day, but sometimes the dead skin cells can build up on your skin and need help getting removed. Exfoliating your skin helps remove these skin cells to prevent breakouts, acne, blackheads, and other skin conditions due to blocked pores. You should work on exfoliating at least three times a week, but this truly depends on your skin type. When seeking out the best exfoliator for you, make sure that it has ingredients, such as BHA and AHA, which can deeply clean out your pores and prevent dead skin cell buildup.

Step 4. Moisturize

When you moisturize your skin, you are hydrating your skin and locking in that moisture. This makes your face look smooth and fresh. Pick out a moisturizer that works best with your skin type. Then, apply it to your face and rub it in gently in an upward movement.

Step 5. Put on Sunscreen

Most skin damage is caused by the sun’s harmful UV rays. The sun is also a leading cause of skin cancer, too. This is why it is so crucial to use sunscreen on a daily basis. You can find a moisturizer that contains SPF or put on a separate sunscreen after moisturizing. Make sure the suntan lotion is at least SPF 15 so you can keep your skin looking young and fresh.

Creating a comprehensive skin care routine is only one piece of how to get clear skin. You must make sure that you are following your routine every day. In no time at all, your skin will look fresh, clean, and beautiful. For more information on how you can repair your damaged skin, contact us for a consultation.
